Italian Grand Tour Mosaic Reading Stand 19th Century

Description: Rare Italian Grand Tour Micro-Mosaic Reading Stand, Circa 1870; unfolding to reveal a crest with an inlaid medallion featuring two men working, within an elaborately pierced scrolling foliate design; over a central medallion featuring a man and woman on horseback within a similarly reticulated surround; with two sliding panels; each with medallions; the whole within micro-mosaic borders.

Condition: is great, with minor wear and warping as would be expected.
